R&D Engineering is looking for skilled software developers

Would you like to develop and program some of the largest and most advanced control systems for the wind industry? And are you interested in systems design, controls and programming?

As a part of our SW department at R&D Engineering, you will work with some of the most skilled developers within the Danish industry. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of different development tasks related to the design, development and programming control systems for industrial test benches.

We develop and deliver complete turnkey test systems to customers within the wind- and aerospace industry. Over the years, we have developed and delivered complete turnkey solutions for a wide range of large and internationally acclaimed companies.

Would you like to influence the control system for our next test bench?

As a software developer at R&D, you will have the opportunity to influence the control systems of some of the world's largest test benches.

In collaboration with customers and colleagues, you will be a part of demanding and technically challenging development tasks, which also includes commissioning and running-in of test systems - both at home and abroad.

Main assignments: 

  • Designing and programming control systems for industrial test benches
  • Commissioning and test
  • Developing the standards for R&D's software codebase
  • Participating in the development and implementation of Industry 4.0 and IoT solutions

You can work from our headquarters in Hinnerup, our office in Aalborg or Prague. Furthermore, you should expect to be positioned at different customers from time to time.

About you

We expect that you:

  • Have an interest in systems design, controls and programming
  • Are driven by a passion for problem solving and development, and that you can acquaint yourself with complex systems

Furthermore, we expect that you are experienced within at least two of the following areas:

  • Programming hardware such as Arduino boards and PLCs
  • Programming using languages such as Python, C#, TwinCAT or LabVIEW
  • PLC programming (Structured text)
  • Communication with sensors (digital, analogue and different bus connections)
  • User Interface programming (C#, WPF)
  • Programming of tools in VBA
  • Data Collection Systems
  • Version Control Systems (GIT)
