Work with a specialized team

Your new colleagues work in R&D Test Systems, where the knowledge and experience in developing and delivering turn-key test solutions within the wind and aerospace industry are vast. At R&D, we are driven by our passion for developing innovative solutions and close collaboration with both customers and colleagues is highly valued. We will be a great fit if you are just as passionate about your work as we are about ours.

Do you have a high-level of interest and understanding of advanced electrical systems?

We are looking for someone who likes to deep dive into electrical systems. You understand the importance of working closely with your colleagues but also get a thrill when developing your own ideas and solutions. We aim for the best and expect the same of you; commitment and ability to work independently on your assignments.

You will be involved in the entire process from concept development, design, specification, purchase, supervision during installation, and commissioning of all kinds of electrical systems for our test systems. Your tasks will vary a lot and the test systems include different power and control components. This includes power components such as switchgears, transformers, converters, electrical machines, cabling systems, and distribution cabinets, as well as control components and sensors.

What does it take to work at R&D?

We are looking for the following competences:

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering with preferable 3+ years of experience in the energy supply industry or wind industry.
  • You are able to develop customized electrical concepts for test bench applications.
  • You are able to specify power electrical components such as switchgear (MV and LV), transformers, converters, inverters, motors, and cables.
  • Design and dimensioning knowledge about electrical grids (low voltage, medium voltage, and high voltage approx. up to 100 kV).
  • You have a sound knowledge of converters and rotating machines.
  • Experience with creating simulation models in Powerfactory or Simulink/Matlab is preferred.
  • Fully proficient in English (oral and written).
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment.

And not to forget, we expect that you have an energetic mindset and a keen sense of humor that inspire your colleagues and customers.

What do we offer?

You will be a colleague to fellow engineers that have specialized skills in mechanics, electrics, civil, hydraulics, software, simulation, and project management. We have a flat structure and little bureaucracy, meaning we quickly make decisions.

R&D Test Systems is an international company with several locations both in and outside Denmark. You can work from our headquarters in Hinnerup but it is also possible to be located at our office in Aalborg, Odense, or Berlin.

We promise that you will work with projects and assignments that challenge you and inspire you. In other words, you will be part of a close-knit team with plenty of room for professional and personal development. And we believe that it should be fun going to work.

Salary will be adjusted according to experience and qualifications.
