Project management from R&D aids completion of project at Gram Equipment
Quick, competent and proactive. Those are some of the positive words Chief Project Manager Jakob L. Kær from Gram Equipment associates with the collaboration with R&D.
Gram Equipment is very busy producing both standard equipment and more specialised solutions for the ice cream industry. To ensure the most effective production and a high quality of the completed solutions, competent project management is highly prioritised. This ensures effective planning, coordination and follow-up evaluation of the many projects for various customers.
Before the summer holidays, Chief Project Manager Jakob L. Kær needed a project manager and contacted R&D, which he knew had both experienced and flexible resources.
"We have a very competent project manager in Senior Project Manager Henrik Karm, who quickly familiarises himself with the projects and goes into detail with any problems," Jakob L. Kær says. "This creates respect and authority in the daily work but also when he presents the individual projects."

Several simultaneous projects
Henrik Karm is involved in many projects at Gram Equipment. "Primarily, I am responsible for orders consisting of delivering customised standard freezers and ingredient feeders as well as special equipment. It usually takes 12 weeks from the order is placed until the customised standard solution is delivered to the customer. For special equipment the time span can vary from a few weeks to several months," Henrik Karm says. "Usually, I work on 15-20 projects simultaneously, where I am responsible for planning and coordinating both internally and externally according to the various stages of the projects."
Very positive experience
The fact that Henrik has experience both as a project manager for various customers and from his previous employment in a manufacturing company is very beneficial for Gram Equipment. "Henrik is very proactive, which is a great asset for us in our hectic work days," Jakob L. Kær says. "Furthermore, he is also new and has not been affected by old cases and so on."
Both Jakob and the employees at Gram Equipment have had a positive experience of the collaboration with Henrik Karm. "For the moment, I expect to make use of Henrik's competences until the new year," Jakob L. Kær says. "Afterwards, we might use the possibility of employing him in difficult situations, as he has a great understanding of our companies, customers and solutions. We look forward to continue our collaboration with Henrik and R&D."
